Reading a heatmap
Heatmaps are good at one thing: showing whether a move is broad or narrow. A sea of uniform green means the whole market moved together, which usually means the move came from outside crypto — a rate decision, a dollar move, an ETF flow. A grid where three tiles are bright and the rest are flat means something specific happened to those assets. Neither tells you anything about what comes next.
