Bitcoin fee estimator

Bitcoin fees are priced per byte of transaction data, not per bitcoin sent. Moving $10 and moving $10 million cost exactly the same if the transactions are the same size.

What sat/vB means

A satoshi is one hundred-millionth of a bitcoin. A vByte is a unit of transaction weight — SegWit and Taproot transactions carry their signatures in a discounted section, so they weigh less than a legacy transaction moving the same money. Miners sort the mempool by fee rate, so a small transaction paying 20 sat/vB gets confirmed ahead of a huge one paying 5.
